I am a mechanical engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington University in St. Louis. I have experience in prototyping electro-mechanical engineering projects and applying the engineering design process, as well as agile methodology.

Projects

  Personal Project
  • Constructed and optimized an Anet A8 3D printer
  • Replaced the stock motherboard with an Arduino Mega to enable more customizability
  • Printed and installed PLA parts to enhnace the 3D print quality

August 2017 - Present

  Senior Design Project
  • My team designed and constructed a novel low-cost solar concentrator for a PV cell array
  • Created multiple design sketches and selected the best design using the Pugh Decision Matrix
  • Video describing how we acheived our team's performance goals, which included 10x electrical power output

August 2017 - December 2017

  Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems - Final Project
  • My team designed, fabricated and tested a microfluidic device to isolate 20 micron particles.
  • I took on the task of designing the device on AutoCAD
  • A comprehensive report can be found here
August 2017 - December 2017

  Marine Renewable Energy Internship
  • Developed a mangrove-like structure prototype for hydrodynamic studies and energy harvesting on a 10-week deadline
  • Generated 2 novel design concepts: modeled on SolidWorks and presented to my research mentor (link)
  • Conducted an engineering analysis to choice the optimal gauge wire for maximum power output shown here
May 2017 - August 2017

Interests

Apart from my academics and engineering projects, I enjoy staying active. I regularly play pick-up soccer and basketball and I also danced as part of Latin dance teams (Cumbia and Cha-Cha), Indian dance teams (Raas and Bollywood fusion), and a Hula dance team.

It is also a passion of mine to promote STEM education at an early age. I helped to start Studio:TESLA : a student-run organization that aims to teach STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) literacy and critical thinking capacity to underserved youth. I held multiple roles as facilitator, site director, and eventually VP of Operations.
